Advertising disclosure

How we make money

Short version: you are never charged extra, and you are never required to buy anything from anybody we recommend.

Advertising disclosure: some links on this page are affiliate links. If you sign up for a hosting account through one of them, we may earn a commission from that company at no extra cost to you. You pay the host directly at their own published price, and it is exactly the same price whether you use our link or go to them directly. You are never required to use a recommended host ... this software runs on any standard PHP and MySQL hosting, and you are free to install it wherever you like.

Where affiliate links appear

The server setup pages inside the product, where we recommend a hosting company.
The help panel, on the card that points at hosting.
Our public sales pages, where the arrangement is described in plain language.

Each of those carries this same disclosure next to the link itself, not only here.

What this does not change

The price you pay. It is the host's own published price whether you use our link or type their address in yourself.
What you can use. This software runs on any standard PHP and MySQL hosting. You may install it on a host you already have, or any host you prefer, and nothing in the product is withheld if you do.
Who you pay. You buy hosting directly from the hosting company, on your own account and your own card. We never bill you for it and we never see it.

Why we recommend anyone at all

The software installs itself onto your server in one click on the hosts we recommend, because we have tested that path. Somewhere else may work perfectly well, it just may take a few more minutes to set up.
